The Panama Canal Museum Collection at the UF Libraries
Twelve years after opening, the Panama Canal Museum (PCM) in Seminole, Florida made the decision to transfer their collections to the University of Florida (UF) Libraries. The libraries will preserve and archive the portion of Canal Zone history that encompasses the time of the United States presence in Panama. Uniquely qualified to offer access to these collections, the UF Libraries have one of the largest and most respected Latin American repositories in the nation. To learn more about how you can assist the UF Libraries and the PCM preserve its legacy, click here.
The collection has an official store at http://universityoffloridalibraries.merchmo.com/ with books, CDs, DVDs, postcards and accessories for sale.
The libraries, in collaboration with other university departments, are planning a Panama Canal centennial celebration in 2014-2015. A special weekend of activities will be held on August 15-17, 2014. To learn more, see the brochure. English version. Spanish version. |
