- Incorporate Aleph and PeopleSoft processes into Acquisitions and Licensing Department functions and coordinate any redesigned workflow with other departments or units within the libraries. (Steve Carrico; Michele Crump; Doug Kiker; Suzanne Kiker; Lawan Orser; Jack Waters)
- Plan and implement reclassification project for Dewey current periodicals in the Humanities and Social Science collections; plan for reclassification of Dewey monograph titles in the Humanities and Social Sciences collections. (Lawan Orser; Collection Management).
- Implement flat file invoice processing interface between Aleph and PeopleSoft; monitor flat file exchange for accuracy and promptness. (Jack Waters)
- Monitor monograph and serial vendors online system services, especially vendors with ongoing or planned EDI development activities with Aleph; consider incorporating these refinements into Acquisitions and Licensing Department workflows. (Suzanne Kiker, Doug Kiker, Michele Crump, Jack Waters)
- Assume responsibility for reviewing and managing the license agreements for electronic resources; integrate the paper license files received from John Ingram's office and organize scanned files so that only current agreements are accessible in the OPAC. (Doug Kiker; Michele Crump).
- Establish profile and implement the Blackwell's virtual approval plan for the English Literature collection; monitor the YBP virtual approval plan to analyze "return" titles and make appropriate changes to profiles. (Suzanne Kiker; Michele Crump)
- Evaluate MARC record services available through Serials Solution and MARCIT; contribute to library wide discussion about the increased accessibility these records would add to the electronic resources in the library collection. - Monitor the development of ExLibris' Electronic Resources Management System (Verde) and other similar systems; evaluate for complete management functionality and statistical analysis of resource usage (Doug Kiker; Michele Crump).
- Identify and implement Macro Express applications for acquisitions, serials, and maintenance functions in Aleph. (Julia Allen; Steve Carrico; Suzanne Kiker; Doug Kiker; Lawan Orser; Jack Waters).
- Examine Aleph reports to identify what statistical information Acquisitions and Licensing can retrieve from Aleph acquisitions and cataloging records. (Julia Allen).
- Coordinate upgrade of Aleph object codes with Law and Health Science Center; provide training for upgrade, which will make the code a required field. (Michele Crump; Jack Waters; Suzanne Kiker; Doug Kiker).
