Macro Express Documentation
The Technical Support Unit is both revising our macros in light of the upgrade to Aleph 18 and also preparing accompanying documentation. Our current thinking is to provide five types of documentation for each suite (collections of macros for use with a given Aleph module). The first two will be of most use to staff; the remainder will be of more interest to macro developers:
1) A simple table showing each macro's name, description, activation key and pop-up menu.
2) An additional table showing both available and planned (being upgraded for Aleph 18) macros.
3) Comments within the actual scripts of each macro.
4) Notes at the back of each macro with the following information:
description | aleph module | components | calls (to submacros) | assumptions (to ensure correct functioning) | activation | comments.
5) A web page mirroring the notes just described above. These pages can be accessed via the links below:
