Announcements: Serials Solutions has introduced their Full Marc Records product. http://www.serialssolutions.com/marcinfo.asp Michele and Rich recently saw a demonstration of this product. They reported that it was very interesting, but caution that we still need to examine the other product. After we have examined them both this group can meet to discuss recommending the purchase of one over the other. This probably won't be a consortial decision, but FCLA may broker the deal. This product would give us two different ways to handle the procedure. 1. Attach the information to the current record or 2. Make a separate record for the electronic format. Serials Solutions recommends the second option, and Naomi pointed out the potential problems that might occur after the vendor merges their information into the UF record.
