The UF Libraries' Catalog is a searchable index of the libraries' holdings including books, maps, periodicals, magazines, videos, CDs, DVDs and many other research materials.

The UF Libraries' Home page has a wealth of information available at your fingertips. Free Internet Reference Sources can be found at http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/hss/ref/readyref.html

There are nine library locations, and alumni and friends are more than welcome to use all of the libraries' resources on-site.

Alumni and friends may borrow materials from the George A. Smathers Libraries. To learn more about borrowing materials, please read the loan policies at http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/as/circ.html.

Subject Guides are developed by subject specialists from the George A. Smathers Libraries and include Internet and local resources designed to assist in the research process.

Chapter One is a newsletter especially for alumni, donors and friends of the libraries. It is a great way to keep up with the George A. Smathers Libraries and the world of books and electronic information. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, contact gaicraw@uflib.ufl.edu.

If you are interested in staying up-to-date on campus news about the library, Library News is designed for faculty at the University of Florida and will give you the latest news about recent acquisitions, electronic resources, and more. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, contact gaicraw@uflib.ufl.edu.

We also have a number of talented and knowledgeable staff among a wide variety of subjects who are available to speak at various engagements. From Florida History to the history of the University Florida to the libraries' work in Cuba or preserving your collections at home, librarians and staff members can bring an interesting topic to life at your next banquet, meeting or event. Contact Barbara Hood at (352) 273-2505 for more information.
