HOLDINGS and ITEMS--STAND-ALONE CDS
Scenario: Monographic title arrives in the form of 2 stand-alone CDs. Catalog and process following CD
Cataloging Guidelines: Monographs in CATPRO
http://web.uflib.ufl.edu/rs/catpro/CDguideline.htm
These guidelines are chiefly for HOL and ITEM records. For complete processing, see the CD guideline above. It is being updated to reflect ALEPH practice.
CATALOGER'S ACTIONS:
1. Catalog BIB record.
2. For titles going to Library West, Library West Reference or MSL, add a TKR (FU) cdm-2 to your BIB record
3. Create volume holdings if needed. Since CD-ROMS often have some enumeration assigned them or are meant to be used in a certain order, you will work with them as you would a book set, and use or assign a caption and numbering. In this case, you would add holdings. If they come in a single case, like sound recordings, do not add volume holdings. Note only the no. of pieces in CIRC note area on Tab 2, e.g. 2 disks or 2 CD-ROMs, 2 CDs, etc.
4. Create separate ITEM records for each jewel case.

In Description Field in Tab 1: CD-ROM 1-2
Add "2 CD-ROMs" (pieces information) to CIRC note in Tab 2.

In Enum.Level.1 field, put enumeration (in this case, "1")
