Vendor Codes for Electronic Resources

In cataloging electronic resources, both databases and electronic journals, we have used a code in subfield x of the 856 field to bring together resources offered by the same vendor. These codes will be replaced by series fields in the Serials Solutions vendor records for electronic journals. For database cataloging, precede the code with db.
This table include codes used by Health, Law and Smathers. In some cases, we have used more than one code for the same vendor. In those cases, either code may be used.
