Tattletape Processing Guideline
Within the Resource Services Department, the Unit receiving the materials does the tattletaping function. All incoming materials received at the Monograph Unit, the Serials Cataloging Unit and the G&E Unit will already be tattletaped before forwarding them to the Copy Cataloging Unit for searching, sorting, distributing, cataloging, labeling and stamping.
Materials received directly at the Contributed Cataloging Section:
-
Rare books : will not get tattletape
-
Special Florida History materials : will not get tattletape
Materials received directly at the Copy Cataloging Unit:
- Reviewed Yankee approvals : tattletape at the point of removing the items off the approval shelves.
- Items received from Documents, Science, Education, Florida History and other locations : tattletape at the point of unpacking or searching.
- Unprocessed firm order materials from Yankee : tattletape after invoice verification.
