Useful Links and Handouts

 

• Department Contact Numbers - List of all the departments, who is in charge, and the phone number and fax number.

• Subject Specialists - For those really specific reference questions or collection questions.

• Library Of Congress Call Number System - Very helpful to send folks to an area for browsing.

• Library Hours - For all the branches. Also links to special hours during holidays and intercessions.

• Handouts - All the handouts we have available at the Information Point. (New Handout 3/11/08)

• Floorplans for West - Maps of each floor in Library West.

• Computer Information - This is a link to the new Information Commons page with information specific to Library West. Click here for more information on the computer programs and equipment available at all branches. Here is a list of the software installed on most public workstations.

• The HUB- The Office of Academic Technology (or the Computer Help Desk) is now located in the newly renovated HUB. Hours and services are detailed here.

• CIRCA Labs - This shows the different CIRCA lab locations and links to their hours. They have cheaper printing, and they'll bill them through the university so that they don't have to have cash.

• Student Jobs Link - A list of student job opportunities at the Libraries.

• Circulation Manual - This is also the place to find the Group Study Room Policy and the Laptop Policy, as well as the Chart of Borrowing Privileges.

• Library Orientations - This page has the dates, times and locations of the Library Orientations. Students can just show up - no need to register.

• Using the Wireless Network - This is the the CNS page that explains some basic information for patrons trying to use the wireless network.

• Reporting Problems with Xerox - This is the procedure to follow when reporting problems with Xerox equipment, be sure to always try to contact the system liaison first.

• Webmail - This is how you can check your email while on the desk if you choose not to set up Outlook.

• Printing and Copying in Library West - This page has instructions about printing, copying and the copy card machines. Remember patrons CAN print from the circulatiing laptops, but not from their own personal laptops.

• Trespassed - This page details individuals who have been tresspassed from the libraries and who are under observation.
