What do you think could be done to improve the Information Point for patrons?
#Response DateComment
.Tue, 6/12/07 1:15 PMbetter signage
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:01 PMTo remove the silver blocks. This would allow the staff and patrons to actually see one another, instead of the blocks hiding everything.
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:07 PMBetter signs, and more consistancy among what services Info Point volunteers offer - it can be confusing if one will help with "x", while another is uncomfortable doing so, as it effectivley changes level of service during the day/week in a pretty random fashion.
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:18 PMAllowing the Information Point to be seen more easily to patrons walking off the escalators.
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:36 PMBetter visibility. It is hard to see which areas of the desk are staffed.
.Wed, 6/13/07 1:59 PMSee answer to #14
.Wed, 6/13/07 2:46 PMMove it to the other end of the desk - near the lost & found with better signage.
.Wed, 6/13/07 3:11 PMThe shrouds need to go. They make it too difficult to see patrons who need help.
.Wed, 6/13/07 3:31 PMSomething (a sign or other notice) to let the patrons know we are the information point (not just another circulation desk access point) and that they are welcome to walk right up and get assistance.
.Wed, 6/13/07 6:20 PMI think we are doing a great job. Patrons seem happy every time.
.Thu, 6/14/07 11:46 AMBetter signage. Maybe add an explanation of what the Info Point is on the ugly silver box screens.
.Thu, 6/14/07 1:19 PMRemove the boxes from the top of the circ desk (I know that this is supposed to be in the works)
.Fri, 6/22/07 6:45 PMtake down the towers
.Fri, 6/22/07 7:22 PMI think the information point being behind the column hides us from patrons. I don't think they always see us there.
.Sat, 6/23/07 11:54 AMbetter line of sight; two way monitor
