A date may serve as a volume number preceded or followed by internal numbering that repeats each year. Treat both as the numeric designation and record the number following the date.12.1B7
If the title includes a date or numbering that varies from issue to issue, omit this date or numbering and replace it by the mark of omission, unless it occurs at the beginning of the title, in which case do not give the mark of omission.12.3B2
