Revised database procedure
The revised database cataloging procedure is posted in AlephPro.
UFDC
Jorge and Jimmie discussed the management of our role in digital projects. Laurie Taylor created a spreadsheet that lists the UFDC digitization projects (see http://blogs.uflib.ufl.edu/digitization-projects/). Her list includes what the projects are about, how many projects there are, and who is responsible for the projects. Jorge and Jimmie recommended that a CatMet liaison be assigned to each project to keep track of the progress and give input to DLC as needed. In addition, Jorge plans to compile and maintain a central resource for digital projects that will include metadata requirements and various other details about each project, building on Laurie’s spreadsheet.
Serials workflow
CMG agreed with Naomi’s proposal that serials work be distributed with less strict regard to specific subject unit divisions.
