CatMet activity list
CMG brainstormed edits to a draft CatMet activity list to be shared with Diane Bruxvoort. Betsy will circulate a revised version.
Betsy will draft a position vacancy announcement for a replacement position. Also, John Ingram is planning to request that the dean include a Special Collections cataloger as part of the library's recommendation for jump start faculty positions funded through the pre-eminence bill.
RDA next steps
CMG discussed Jane Anne and Jimmie's plan to have department staff catalog books in RDA and participate in small group review sessions.
Authorities White Paper
Priscilla announced that at its June 3 meeting the FLVC Members Council for Library Services approved in principle including outsourced authority maintenance in the FY15 legislative budget request.
Betsy asked supervisors to begin to review position descriptions with staff in preparation for the upcoming reorganization.
Meeting with branch staff
Naomi met with branch staff who do serials check-in to discuss procedures for creating and revising summary holdings. They will meet informally on a regular basis for the next few months or so.
Unit FY14 goals
Betsy reminded CMG to discuss and post unit/area FY14 goals.
OCLC WorldShare Metadata Collection Manager
Acquisitions is going to pilot using Collection Manager with a selected e-resource package rather than Serials Solutions.
CMG discussed the proposed faculty evaluation levels and distinction statement.
CMG decided to hold a clean-up day in July. Betsy will send an announcement after checking with Acquisitions.
