Technology Services staff members have formed a working group charged with drafting a set of rules and procedures based on the MARC Holdings format and the NISO Z39.71 standard for bibliographic holdings in support of Aleph item records. The group has finished a draft document and would like to solicit comments and feedback from both Public Services and Technology Services staff. In particular, we hope this document will help provide guidance to those responsible for serial check-in and binding in Aleph. We have also tried to incorporate our knowledge of best method sorting strategies that may assist public users of the OPAC.
