Science & Social Science Cataloging Unit
Goals 2005/2006
1. Substantially increase the number serials cataloged, especially CONSER.
2. Hire and train new Archivist to replace Marcia Alden.
3. Develop more fully AlephPro procedures, macros, quick-keys and other efficiency strategies to support our work and substantially contribute to planning and executing the many training efforts needed.
4. Provide priority cataloging for 109 maps for Caribbean joint exhibit in Miami and other priority maps identified by Dr. Armstrong before her retirement in Dec.
5. Support reclassification and other strategic projects as needed towards spring reopening of Main Library.
6. Continue to complete the many PALMM (99 as of 9/14/05), Database (217 as of 9/14/05), and EDIS (ca. 300 as of 9/14/05) records that require cataloging.
