Meeting Minutes: Convocation Planning Committee

Design ideas for posters & presentations
Committee discussed ideas for posters and the PowerPoint presentation:
- Brian will gather data for new hires & exits; promotions; and service milestones
- Jason will compile data for posters from greatest hits submissions: papers published and poster sessions
- Sara will continue to work on the PowerPoint presentation (Maybe incorporate photographs , esp. from Alex Annis' displays in Education?)
- Christine will collect data on staff blogs and wikis for posters (social networking tools)
- Dan will collect data on significant new collections for posters
- Data will be submitted to Barbara Hood by July 20 so she has time to put it together into posters
Greatest hits
Committee made a preliminary evaluation of Greatest Hits submissions from department heads. The goal was to identify "mountain peaks" to ask the department heads to speak about.
The list will be refined at a second meeting next week.
Other Business
- Brian will contact members of the Employee Recognition Committee re: helping out with Convocation set-up
