1.         PeopleSoft training and authority levels – Barbara Oliver, Grace Strawn, Trudi DiTrolio

 

·         Barbara Oliver and Grace Strawn discussed how UF’s implementation of PeopleSoft will impact library operations.

·         Barbara Oliver will discuss PeopleSoft at the Middle Managers Meeting this Thursday.  Martha Hruska will send a message to the Middle Managers group strongly urging all members to attend Thursday’s meeting.

·         Barbara noted that the Library could send a staff member to be trained in order to then train Library staff however this person would have to attend five classes.

·         Trudi DiTrolio assembled a list of staff members that should attend the time/labor training.  The Directors will be reviewing the list.

 

2.         Announcements

 

·         Martha Hruska will be out April 14th -16th and April 26th-27th.

·         Martha is reasonably sure that the list of bonus recipients was approved.

·         Jimmie Lundgren is preparing to post Emilia Garcia’s position vacancy.

·         Michele Crump sent LTA position description to Denise Bogart for review and forwarding to UF Human Resources.

 

3.         Updates/Status Reports:

 

a.                   Systems/Networking

·         Hilton Soto has accepted a position with the College of Pharmacy.

·         An update is being pushed out to patch a previously applied patch for Internet Explorer.  This will not fix the recent vulnerability in browsers.

·         UF is working on spam filters.  Bill Covey suggested that staff members monitor email closely.  If emails are not received that should have been a report should be given to Bill.

·         FCLA mail was blocked for a time because their server did not get registered.

·         Equipment orders are on hold until August.

 

b.                  TMT issues

·         Bill had nothing to report. However he was asked if TMT could request a construction status update.

 

c.         Budget

·         Materials budget - $96, 433.39

·         DSR - $372,807.86 left from last years DSR budget.

 

d.         Aleph status

·         The problem that was causing ORACLE to crash has been fixed.  STP is still scheduled for May 3rd.  Training is continuing.  When the A-Team meets on Thursday Cathy Mook will ask if staff members have received needed training.  If not, she will compile a list of training still needed.

 

4.         Library Planning Questions/Issues

·      Dale Canelas’ budget presentation to the Provost originally scheduled for April 22 has been moved to May 5th.
