Technologies Available in All Library Locations
All library workstations use the Microsoft Windows XP operating system and provide the following array of available software and services. Please review the libraries' computer use policy.
Internet / Database Access
Access to the Internet
and online library services, including
the library catalog and databases, is available in all the libraries and branches. Library workstations are equipped with both Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers.
Web Email Access
Access to most web-based email services is available throughout the libraries and branches.
Word Processing and Other Production Software
Microsoft Office 2003 Professional suite as well as other Windows XP production software is available on library workstations.

WebCT Classes and Streaming Video
WebCT courseware and the university's video classes can be viewed on workstations throughout the libraries. Users

Printing
Printers are available in all libraries and branches. Transactions are charged to your Gator-1 card.
- Black and White copying/printing costs $.10 per page, and is available from all campus libraries
- Color copying/printing costs $.50 per page, and is available from the AFA Library, Marston Science Library, and the Health Science Center Library

Multi-language Support
Library workstations provide multi-language support through the Microsoft Keyboard IME extensions.
Accessibility Software
All library workstations provide a suite of software designed to enhance accessibility.
Other adaptive/assistive equipment is available at limited locations.

Library West and Marston Science Library each have a limited number of laptops available for checkout on a first-come first-served basis. Use of laptops is restricted to current UF students, staff and faculty. See library laptop policies.

microform materials are located.
