1. Select the Units button on the tool bar and choose the units of interest: feet, miles, meters, or kilometers.
2. Click the button on the tool bar.
3. Click the first point on the map and wait for a red dot to appear. As you move the cursor away from the dot, the segment distance will appear in a small window in the upper portion of the screen.
4. Click on the next point. A total distance will appear in the upper left corner.
5. You can continue to click on additional points, or you can use the Clear Section button and start a new measurement.
In the example below, we have searched Brooker in a Basic Search on City and we have zoomed to the records.
We have set the Units to miles. We set the first point on Brooker and the second on Starke. A red line is drawn between the two points and we have a total distrance of 14.12 miles.
