Gainesville: Hometown History Day

Saturday, May 22, 10-1pm at the Alachua County Library District, Headquarters Library, 401 East University Avenue, Gainesville

Join us to celebrate the history of Gainesville! We are looking for photographs, documents, objects, and memorabilia from Gainesville during the years 1880-1910.  These items will help create a virtual tour of our town. Bring your family photos, heirlooms and other mementos to the library to have them scanned or photographed, so that they can become part of this important project—and a part of history! Once the images are loaded on the Web, you will be able to search for your contribution and print copies of the image.  Remember, items must pertain to the years 1880-1910.
