High resolution versions of these images
are no longer available.

During the brief period in which we offered access to high resolution versions (SID), we were overwhelmed by requests. We understand the need for these images and their educational and commercial value to the State of Florida. Unfortunately, we do not have the staffing to continue the service.

The University of Florida, which makes these images available, recently acquired new digital library technologies and JPEG 2000 encoder/server software. In future, we will be able to prove patrons of this collection with the ability to download highly compact high-resolution versions of the images available through this Collection.

Considerable effort and fiscal resources remain to be dedicated to the migration to new systems and formats.  Resources previously used to fill special requests have been reallocated to assist in migration.
