Upcoming Exhibits: Concrete Blog: Messages on the Wall

From 10 AM to 2 PM on April 10-12, 2007, there will be an open air exhibit of wall messages in the Plaza of the Americas on the University of Florida campus.

Many of these images are from the personal collection of Dr. Jeffrey Laskin, formerly of the Colleges of Dentistry and Medicine, University of Florida.

Dr. Laskin began capturing wall messages in 1989 and continued to photograph every worthwhile painting for approximately ten years. His efforts along with countless unnamed painters are celebrated in this exhibit.

Later in the summer, selected images will be on display at the Matheson Museum, 513 East University Ave., Gainesville, FL 32601; the Alachua County Public Library Headquarters Building, 401 E University Avenue, Gainesville FL 32601; and at the Tower Road Branch, 3020 S.W. 75th Street, Gainesville, FL 32607; and Millhopper Branch, 3145 N.W. 43rd Street, Gainesville, FL 32606.
