Digital Library Center Projects

All projects are hosted within the University of Florida's Digital Collections (UFDC). Documentation for the many collections, projects, technologies, equipment, and workflows is also available online.

The largest and most utilized UFDC collections are:

All current projects are listed here and within the current departmental goals including: digital collections, large and small as with exhibits for collections; technology projects to support the collections (static pages for search engines, RSS feeds; etc); assisting others (partner training; assisting with Preservation's retrospective dissertation project; the reborn brittle books program; and coordinating with collection managers to plan, develop, maintain, and create digital collections.

New Digital Projects & Collections

Collection managers can propose new digital projects using the digital collection development template, with feedback from the DLC on technologies and requirements or input from any other needed sources. The proposals are submitted to the Advisory Group for Research Services and Scholarly Resources (AGRSSR) for approval and prioritization.

Other projects in process include datamining collections to create humanities and social science research, including developing indices currently done manually; cross-language comparisons; tracking the evolution of concepts; and more, for these and other projects:
