Administrator Tasks
The following tasks must be carried out only under the Administrator login: a liaison login won't do the trick, even though the liaison login has local Administrator privileges.
- Setting the Administrator password (of course).
- Joining the network domain.
- Setting group permissions.
- Setting the computer's power options.
- Disabling the Keep my computer up to date feature.
- Disabling the Windows XP firewall:
- Select Start | Settings | Control Panel | Windows Firewall, then check OFF.
- Select the Exceptions tab, and make sure that only Remote Assistance is checked.
Restart the computer after these changes have been made.
