OCLC Connexion
Some workstations will require the OCLC Connexion program. Here is how to install and configure it.
- Go to \\Smathersnt12\DLC\Software\OCLC\ and see if the latest installer is already there.
- If not, then go to the web site, and enter the authorization and password (ask somebody if you don't know it).
- Download the latest Connexion client Complete software.
- Click your way through the installation.
- Launch the application.
- Select Tools, Options, Authorizations.
- Enter the same authorization number and password.
- For the name, enter "enhance", and click Apply.
- Under the Derive Record tab, check every box you can, then click Apply.
- Under the Export tab, click Create, select OCLC Gateway Export, then click OK.
- Under Host Name, enter aleph.fcla.edu, and for Port, enter 7545.
- Then click OK, OK, Apply and Close.
- To test the configuration, click the upper left icon, then OK then Close, then in the Command Line Search box, enter a search string like scan ti="glencoe world geography".
If you see search results, then the configuration is probably good.
