Equipment, Printing and Copying

Computers

The Education Library enables patrons to use PC computers to access the vast holdings of the University system. The PC's are fully compliant Windows personal computers with access to the UF libraries' catalog and the Internet.  

The Education Library has 1 FlipVideo Ultra available for 3-day checkout on a first come, first serve basis. It is available for checkout to current UF students, staff, and faculty. Microform

The library has two microfiche/microfilm readers that can scan to a HP Laserjet printer and one workstation that can scan microforms to pdf or image files, which then can be saved to removable storage or burned to a CD.

Wireless access

Wireless access is available throughout Norman Hall through the UF Wireless Networking.

Copying

The Education Library has one copier/printer machine for patron use. To make copying/printing even more convenient, you can now charge transactions to your Gator-1 card Vending Account.

Black and White copying/printing costs $.10 per page. Oversize copies, 8.5" x 14" or 11" x 17", are also available.

Color copying/printing costs $.50 per page, and is only available from the AFA Library, Marston Science Library, and the Health Science Center Library.

Activating and adding money to the Vending Account can be completed online at Gator 1 Central. A minimum of $15 must be added to the account and will take 10 minutes to update. Ask at the Circulation Desk for assistance in activating or revaluing the Vending Account.

Video Magnifiers

Education Library offers access to a tabletop Topaz Video Magnifier and a Sapphire Portable Magnifier that is available for 3-day checkout.
