Working From Off Campus

When you are working with e-resources from off campus, you must first log on to the UF VPN. By connecting to library resources with this method, you will experience a secure and seamless interaction with online, subscription content.

Finding Resources

Library resources, including such materials as dissertations, books, databases, journals and the articles within them, can be daunting to navigate. The Finding Resources page shows how to search for certain types of materials. This page also provides links to vetted internet resources for education and other subjects.

Accessing Databases

The UF Library system subscribes to databases that include the bibliographic information (and sometimes abstracts and full text/online content) to articles from books, magazines and journals as well as electronic books, government publications, and media galleries. Education Librarians compiled a list of databases with education-related content. Click on the Find it @ UF button in your search results, for access to digital full-text material.

Finding Subject-Specific Resources

Education Librarians have developed guides for researchers to find resources by type including books, journals, articles and dissertations. Information portals for specific areas of study have also been created to provide access to databases, selected journals, associations, and standards covering a given area .

Managing Citations with RefWorks

RefWorks enables you to store citations and organize a personal database of citations gathered from library catalogs, databases and other sources. Bibliographies and in-text citations can also be created with this resource.

Requesting materials for purchase

You may request that materials are considered for addition to the Education Library for your classes or research. You may contact your librarians directly or use the library suggestion form.
