Web access to UF's OPAC!
To search the University of Florida Online Public Access Catalog (LUIS) select that option at bottom of this screen. After selecting the WebPortal, choose menu number <10> followed by <1> for the UF Libraries/ catalog.
Newspaper hints:
1) Keyword access to "newspapers" and all places of publication is available, but this will also draw up publications which are 'about' newspapers; e.g. k=florida newspapers
2) Communities may be searched for specifically, but notice that places with names that are also used by people will retrieve an interesting set of unrelated publications; e.g. k=milton florida newspapers
3) Since all Florida (and most out-of-state) newspapers are also identified by county, adding these will narrow the resultant search sets; e.g. k=milton santa rosa county florida newspapers
4) An internal mechanism allows USNP titles to be retrieved as 'numbers' in this way: 'no=newspapers' [without the quotes]. Florida newspapers in this catalog can be subsetted with the search: 'no=newspapers fla' [again, no quotes]. Other US newspapers can be subsetted with the search: 'no=newspapers us' [no quotes].
Try these out and see what luck you have. LUIS has on-screen instructions to guide you, too.
