- African American Mosaic (Library of Congress) is a resource guide to the institution's African American collections covering the nearly 500 years of the black experience in the Western hemisphere. Exhibit presents and explains artifacts from Colonization, Abolition, Migrations, and the WPA.
- African American Perspectives (Library of Congress) presents "The Daniel A. P. Murray Pamphlet Collection," a panoramic and eclectic review of African American history and culture, spanning almost one hundred years from the early nineteenth through the early twentieth centuries
- Africana studies resources for African and African American studies, compiled for the Shirkey, Cynthia, Arizona Board of Regents in 1999, provides access to resources in African and African American studies, including the African diaspora, bibliographies, biographies, directories and organizations, electronic journals, fine arts and humanities, history, political science and reference

- Amistad Research Center (Tulane University) is "an independent archives, library, and museum dedicated to preserving African American and ethnic history and culture."
- Indiana University Archives African American Music and Culture presents a searchable database of the holdings of the Archives, including sound recordings, videocassettes, musical scores, a photographic collection, and oral histories, and also includes selected links to other resources related to African American music and culture
- James A. Porter (1905-1970) 12th Annual Colloquium on African American Art by ArtNoir Showcase
- Race and place African American community histories was created and maintained by the Virginia Center for Digital History and the Carter G. Woodson Institute for African and Afro-American Studies at the University of Virginia. The site offers access to various databases and directories, photographs and historical text documents depicting the social and historical organization of Afro-Americans particularly in Augusta County, Virginia and Franklin County, Pennsylvania
