FAQ: E-Books

netLibrary
The Libraries does subscribe to a number of e-books that are available to the UF community. NetLibrary is an excellent source of e-books. These books may be accessed through the UF Libraries Catalog from http://www.uflib.ufl.edu (Click on the "CONNECT NOW" link then the "Read this E-Book"links.) You may also search for netLibrary books directly at http://www.netlibrary.com. However, please note that you must first create a netLibrary account to use these resources; please see http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/netlibrary.html for instructions.

netLibrary - why does it ask me to logon?

netLibrary books are restricted by licensing to UF students, faculty and staff. If you wish to access an e-book from a computer that is located off-campus, there are two things you must do. First, you will need to use the remote logon service or the UF VPN service. Instructions are available at: http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/access.html. Secondly, you must establish a personal account with netLibrary, and sign in to see the e-books. Instructions for setting up a netLibrary book are at: http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/netlibrary.html.
