Alert!
JAKE DATA IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED IN ANY VERSION, so its value is extremely limited (and results are potentially quite unreliable).
The jake service has not been used by the UF Libraries as an E-Journal linking tool since January 9, 2002 when the current E-Journal Locator was introduced. jake continued to have some value as a service after that (e.g. to help identify where specific journals are indexed, locating journals by subject, etc.). It's value dimishes as the data becomes more out of date. jake may evolve in the future to provide additional useful functions, however there are no known active projects. |

| jake at Simon Fraser University . | The data in this version is believed to be the most recently updated anywhere (sometime in early 2003). No future updates will occur. Replaced by CUFTS, but this is not an identical tool to jake and may not work consistently for browsing. |
| New jake | NOT ACTIVELY IN DEVELOPMENT -- The interface is somewhat different. The same programmer who created the original jake is responsible. NOTE: Progress has been extrememly slow. From the beginning "jake" has been developed and run by volunteers who have not been able to devote much time to the effort. |
| Openly Jake | NOT ACTIVELY IN DEVELOPMENT -- Retrieves all results from entire "New Jake" database -- search screens customized for UF (although data retrieved is not) |
