Using the UF Libraries' CatalogAdvanced SearchClick on advanced search to go to the Advanced Search screen. The Advanced Search screen shows two ways to search: Advanced Keyword Search (shown here) and Command Search. ![]() The Advanced Keyword Search option allows you to create more sophisticated searches of the catalog, searching combinations of keywords in various fields and limiting by format (books, sound, video, etc.), language, location, and year. Again, you may use ? or * to truncate your keyword search terms to retrieve more results. For example, searching for environment? will retrieve records with the words environment, environmental, environmentalists, etc. You may also combine search terms using AND, OR and NOT operators.
