Using the UF Libraries' Catalog

Course Reserves

Click on  COURSE RESERVES. The Course Reserves column on the resulting page lists two options. The ERes system is used for Course Reserves managed by the Smathers Libraries; that is, all the campus libraries except Health (HSCL) and Law (Legal Information Center).

The following tips apply to the Course Reserves - Health and Law database.

We strongly recommend you Browse for a Course Reserve List by your instructor's name or your course number rather than using other methods for locating your reserve material.

The Brief Record list and Full Record display in Course Reserves are similar to those in the rest of the catalog with the exception that you have the option of sorting by Course Number in the Brief display.

Sample entries for one reading from the Brief and Full Record displays appear below.

The brief record might not show all the pieces and copies of physical items:

The Full Record will show all the pieces and copies of physical items in the libraries:

When the full text of an item is online, you may click the link from the brief record view:

[Course Reserves full record]

NOTE: Many electronic reserves have more than one link associated with them because they have multiple parts. To see all of the links for a Course Reserve record, you must view the Full Record.
