Customized Instruction for Faculty and Staff
The Libraries provide instruction to faculty and staff groups on request.
Some classes are offered at the Center
for Instructional Technology, Turlington Hall, or in coordination with
the Office
of Faculty Development.
Topics may include:
- Library basics such as searching the UF Libraries Catalog, Academic Search Premier (a multidisciplinary periodical index) and LexisNexis Academic.
- Advanced searching techniques including truncation, proximity operators, search history, and limiting.
- Subject-specialized resources in print and electronic format, including databases online in EBSCOHost, Cambridge Scientific, Science Direct, CAB, and Web of Science

Google Scholar, using search engines to find information on the World Wide Web
- RefWorks, the UF bibliographic management software
- Other examples are available.
