Q: What should I use to access files via FTP?
A: There is an FTP client included with Windows which runs from the command line. Just type FTP at the command prompt and it brings up a text client. However most people seem to prefer a drag-and-drop interface which works like the Windows desktop itself. Several are available, but a good Open Source client is Filezilla. You can get it from http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ (choose Download), or copy it from the Smathersnt2r folder ReadOnly, located in the Departments folder.SysRequest
Programming services, network installations, and software/hardware requests are all processed through the online SysRequest System. Anyone may make a request, but it must be approved by the cognizant department chair before it is forwarded for further processing. (Such requests are no longer processed in the hard copy format.)
