Library overdue fines to be waived
December 12, 2003 – January 16, 2004

All of the Smathers Libraries* and the Legal Information Center will not assess fines for any materials returned between December 12, 2003 and January 16, 2004 – no matter how overdue they are!

Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to keep books and other library materials out during the holidays and return them to any campus library (or the book return on Buckman Drive just south of University Avenue) next semester. No campus libraries will be open between December 24, 2003 and January 2, 2004. Library West is closing for renovation on December 24, 2003 and will not re-open until early in 2006.

Be sure to take advantage of this one-time-only fine amnesty.

For more information call 392-0342.

*Smathers Libraries include Library West, Architecture and Fine Arts Library, Education Library, Marston Science Library, Music Library, Neuharth Journalism and Communications Library, and Smathers Library (Latin American Collection and Special Collections).

Note:
    -  Overdue items returned after the amnesty period ends on Friday, January 16, 2004, will have fines assessed from their original due date or recall due date.
    -  No previously assessed overdue fines will be refunded or credited.
