Smathers Libraries celebrates International Roma Day
The George A. Smathers Libraries is celebrating International Roma Day through a series of exhibitions, lectures, video and slide show performances and a film screening. The series beginning on March 19, 2007 is entitled Life Among the Romanies: The Heroic Past and Present.
This series is designed to promote cultural awareness of the European Roma (Gypsies) ethnic group for UF students, staff and faculty as well as the Gainesville community. All events are free and open to the public. Details can be found at http://www.uflib.ufl.edu/pio/temp/Roma.pdf
