Some libraries now allow snack foods
Beginning with the fall 2007 semester, snack foods are allowed in the George A. Smathers Libraries except for the Special Collections research room in Smathers Library and the Music Library. Covered drinks but no food will be permitted in the Architecture and Fine Arts Library. The new food policy is in effect in the following libraries:
• Library West
• Marston Science Library
• Education Library
• Journalism & Communications Library
• Latin American Collection on the fourth floor of Smathers Libraries
Anything hot, messy or odorous must still be consumed in the café area across from Starbucks in Library West or outside. Covered drinks are allowed. Food may not be delivered to the libraries.
