Smathers Libraries to host NaNoWriMo Final Push event
The George A. Smathers Libraries will host “The Final Push” for the Gainesville regional group participating in National Novel Writing Month on Thursday, November 29, 5:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. in the Library West third floor Info Commons Presentation Area.
NaNoWriMo is a “fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1st and the goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30.
The Final Push event gives the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and pronounced Nano-Wry-mo, participants an opportunity to get together for a “final-push” write-in on the night before the deadline.
Local authors R. Michael Burns and Sandra Lambert will offer writing advice and encouragement to the writers. Burns will talk at 6:30 and Lambert at 8:30.
