Children's Day

Brian Keith reads the children's classic "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.

Beth Layton reads the from Clifford the Big Red Dog.

Tuesday, April 15, 2008 is Children’s Day!  Come and listen to old and new favorites as some of our very special readers delight the young students from UF’s own school programs:  Baby Gator and P.K. Yonge.

With a focus on the importance and pleasure of books and reading we will share many beautiful illustrations and stories with 46 Future Gators.  The charming four and five year olds from Baby Gator will be with us from 10am-11am.  From 11am-noon the super second graders from P. K. Yonge will return to the annual Read A Thon once again. We all look forward to seeing their delighted faces, as well as YOURS, as we read aloud from some of the world’s best in children’s literature. From noon-2pm readers will read from young adult novels.

Sign up to read on Children's Day.
