Charlotte Harbor

On March 13, members of the Expedition Party on board the steamship "Tarpon" traveled through Boca Grande Pass, the entrance to Charlotte Harbor, on their way south to Fort Myers. Charlotte Harbor is a large bay in southwest Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. The bay is also known as the Charlotte Harbor Estuary. The mouth of Charlotte Harbor is located to the east of the barrier island, Gasparilla Island, and is accessible via the Boca Grande Pass.
