Chipley, Florida

Chipley had been founded as the community of Orange in 1882, but was renamed for railroad manager and state senator, William Dudley Chipley. The town is located west of Tallahassee and east of Pensacola in the panhandle of the state. Expedition member J.E. Minchin was a resident of Chipley, and it seems that he was the only member from the Florida panhandle.
