Carita Doggett Corse

Carita Doggett Corse, circa 1928; source: State Archives of Florida, Florida MemoryCarita Doggett Corse was the Florida director of the Federal Writers’ Project from 1935 to 1942. Born in Jacksonville, Corse earned degrees from Vassar College and Columbia University. Corse became the Florida director of Planned Parenthood in 1943. She was the author of multiple books on Florida history.
