Albert M. Field

Albert M. Field owned a large amount of land in northern Dade County in the late 1800s. He and his wife, Lettie or Leahretta C. Field, lived on the north shore of Lake Worth as early as 1888. In 1889, Field donated land to build a new Dade County courthouse in the newly established county seat, a location which became known as Juno. The courthouse which was completed in 1890. Also in 1889, Juno became the southern terminus for the Celestial Railroad from Jupiter. When Ingraham and party encountered Field, he was working as an agent for the Jacksonville, Tampa and Key West Railroad.
