Fowey Rocks Lighthouse

On April 9 the Expedition party visited the abandoned Cape Florida Lighthouse and could see the new lighthouse on Fowey Rocks to the south. The Fowey Rocks Lighthouse was constructed in the mid-1870s and first lit in 1878. It is located seven miles southeast of Cape Florida on Key Biscayne, and later became part of Biscayne National Park.
