Taylor Frierson

The Expedition party encountered Billy on March 22 in the Everglades and he mentioned that he knew Taylor Frierson of Fort Myers. Frierson was the son of early settler Aaron Taylor Frierson (1806-1887) who came to Fort Myers in 1874 and opened a store with Marion Hendry called Frierson and Hendry. Taylor Frierson operated an inn, the Frierson House, until 1887 when he became a cattle rancher and grove operator near Twelve Mile Creek southeast of Fort Myers.
