Malaria

Malaria is an infectious disease transmitted by mosquitoes that can cause symptoms such as fever, fatigue, headaches and vomiting. In severe cases it can cause death. When the Expedition party visited with author Kirk Munroe in Cocoanut Grove, they were unable to meet his wife Mary Munroe because she was ill with malaria.
