The schooner "Margaret" was a 30-ton schooner evidently owned by William Brickell. The Expedition party used it to explore Biscayne Bay and then to travel north to Lake Worth. Captains Ned Pent and John Saunders sailed them to Cape Florida, Cutler, the Fort Lauderdale House of Refuge, and Lake Worth. The "Margaret" regularly traveled to and from Key West transporting goods and passengers.
