Capt. Mathieu

Unable to identify the "Capt. Mathieu" who meets Ingraham and party about the same time they meet A.M. Field. It is possible that Ingraham in his diary mistakenly refers to Capt. Mercier as Capt. Mathieu, but this is unlikely. It is also possible that this is a reference to Capt. Matheson, conductor of the Celestial Railway.
