Homestead of the Seminole Billy Harney

The Expedition party encountered the Seminole man Billy Harney on April 4 near his homestead, west of Miami. His homestead was described as a hammock with a building and two palmetto thatches or chickees. He was growing corn, pumpkins, bananas. He had furniture, mosquito bars, and appeared to be of some wealth.
